Logging in to Outlook on the Web (OWA)

The instructions in this article pertain to Outlook on the web on Office 365


Outlook on the web (on Office 365)

  1. To access Outlook on the Web App (OWA), go to: http://outlook.com/mcgill.ca
  2. You will be prompted to sign in with your McGill Username and Password.

  3. The first time you sign in, you will be prompted to select your Language and Time Zone preferences:

  4. Then you will be redirected to the Outlook web interface. If you don't see your Inbox folder, click the arrow to expand the Folders.

  5. You can switch between Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks via the icons at the bottom of the folders pane.

  6. Click on the waffle icon in the upper left corner to access other Office 365 apps, including People, Calendar, OneDrive, etc (the apps you see will depend on your role at McGill).

  7. To adjust your mail settings, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the window and choose View all Outlook settings..

    There are many mail options, from Layout, Rules, and Automatic replies, to Junk email (block/allow senders).
