Shared calendars in Outlook

You can share your Outlook calendar with another Outlook user at McGill or request viewing access to another user's calendar.

How to view a calendar someone has shared with you


Accept an invitation to view a shared calendar in Outlook on the web

If you receive an invitation to share someone else’s calendar, select Accept at the bottom of the message to add their calendar to your calendar view.

After you add another calendar, you can rename it, change its color, or remove it from your view. To do this, right-click the calendar in the navigation pane.


Import a calendar from a McGill person in Outlook on the web

If someone at McGill has shared their calendar with you, you can view it in Outlook on the web:

  1. From the navigation pane in the Calendar window, click Import Calendar
  2. Click From directory
  3. Start entering the person's name. Office 365 should locate them from the McGill directory.
  4. Click Add

You can now view whatever calendar items the person shared with you.
