Since the mobile device market is rapidly evolving, IT Services continually evaluates new devices and their compatibility with McGill services. However, we cannot provide support for all. Links to configuration articles for supported mobile devices are listed below.

If the instructions for your smartphone / mobile device are not included in the list, visit the manufacturer's website and follow the general instructions for configuring the device. The basic parameters you will need to connect to each service are provided below; however, we cannot provide full configuration instructions since each device is different.

Setting up a Wireless connection on your mobile device

To connect a Wi-Fi mobile device to McGill's wireless network, it must have either an integrated or a plug-in Wireless Network Interface Card (NIC). For fastest speeds, our recommendation is a NIC card that supports 5GHz IEEE 802.11a/g/n/ac.

If there is no Cisco Secure Client app to support your device, please contact the IT Service Desk, and they will assess your VPN needs on a case-by-case basis - in many cases, there are alternatives.
