This article provides answers to frequently asked questions regarding myFuture.

Why can't I log in to myFuture?

If you cannot log in to myFuture:

  1. Make sure you have typed the correct URL: https://myfuture.mcgill.ca  
  2. Make sure you are using the correct username.
    1. Log in using your McGill Username and McGill Password.
    2. If you have both a student email (@mail.mcgill.ca) and a staff email (@mcgill.ca), ensure you are logging in with the correct email address for your account type. If you are already signed in to a McGill account and are experiencing login issues, try opening a private browsing/incognito window in your browser and attempt the login again.
  3. Test your login by logging in to the myMcGill portal.
    • If you can log into the myMcGill portal, use the same McGill Username and McGill Password to log into myFuture. 
    • If you cannot log into the myMcGill portal, contact the IT Service Desk.
  4. Verify whether you are eligible and have completed any required steps to gain access (if applicable).


Can I change my account information in myFuture?

You may find your information under “My Account” tab on your Dashboard. Some fields are editable, and some are not. To modify the data in the read-only fields, please update the information in the Minerva Personal Menu. The changes will be reflected in myFuture within 24 hours.
