Service overview
Recreation Online Services is an online recreation management system available to McGill students, staff, alumni and members of the community (non-McGill staff or students).
Students can use it to:
- Buy a Fitness Centre (B2 Gym) and/or a Sports Complex membership by semester
- Rent a locker by semester
- Register for a fitness or recreation class
- Register an intramural team
- Book a squash or tennis court
- Register for children’s programming (i.e., McGill Summer Sports Camp, McGill March Break Camp and the McGill Hockey Camp).
Staff can use it to:

- Rent a locker by semester
- Register for a fitness or recreation class
- Register an intramural team
- Book a squash or tennis court
- Register for children’s programming (i.e., McGill Summer Sports Camp, McGill March Break Camp and the McGill Hockey Camp).
Alumni and Community Members can use it to:
- Book a squash or tennis court
- Register for a fitness and recreation class
- Register for children’s programming (i.e., McGill Summer Sports Camp, McGill March Break Camp and the McGill Hockey Camp).
Who can use it
Eligible Students:
- McGill Undergraduate and Graduate students
- Continuing Education students (rules apply, contact the Athletics and Recreation Unit for more information)
All students must be registered in a current term to be eligible.
Eligible Employees:
Staff with a valid McGill ID card, including postdoctoral, retirees and employees on leave. Casual employees are not eligible.
Alumni and community members:
Alumni and members of the community (including any students or employees who do not meet the eligibility requirements listed above) can access a reduced set of online services. Additional services may be added over time.
How to request and access the service

Prefer mobile? You can also access Recreation Online Services through the mobile app (FusionGo), available on the App Store and Google Play.
Signing in:
Once you download the application:
- Select the service you would like
- Sign in using one of the following options: (see screen capture below)
- McGill Single Sign-On
- Email login (for alumni and/or community members)
If you do not already have an account, you can create one by clicking on Sign Up and following the on-screen instructions.
Cost
There is no cost to use the Recreation Online Services site.
Fees for memberships, classes, and intramurals are posted on the site and can be paid online by credit card.
If you do not have a credit card, you can purchase your services in-person at the Athletics and Recreation Client Services locations (Downtown) or at the Stewart Athletic Complex (Macdonald Campus), where payment can be made by debit card or credit card.
Availability
The service is available 24/7, except during planned maintenance or outages. Check the System Status page for announcements.
Frequently asked questions
Best practices and policies
McGill users should not change their personal information, including email address, from the Online Services site. Such changes should be made in Minerva.
Always log out of the Recreation Online Services site and close the browser when you are finished. Never leave your computer unattended while you are logged in.
NOTE:
Credit card information and transactions are processed through a secure external site (not hosted on McGill servers) with the highest security rating; no credit card information is stored on McGill servers.
Training & documentation
Instructions on how to use the service are on the McGill Recreation website.
Employees of the Athletics & Recreation Unit who use the system for administrative functions are given job-specific training.
