LENEL Training: Area Access Manager & ID Carding


OVERVIEW

Target audience: Staff responsible for security and LENEL functionality.

The LENEL OnGuard system is a centralized security system for both the downtown and Macdonald campuses. Courses are given by McGill Security.

Courses offered:

Area Access Manager Training Session (LNL100)

Target Audience: McGill staff who are responsible for assigning access rights to card readers. 
Prerequisites: An existing Area Access Manager must submit a request to the Physical Security Systems Helpdesk, and the request must be approved by Physical Security Systems.
Duration: 1 hour
Course format: Recorded video

Description: The Area Access Manager Training session will introduce Area Access Managers (AAMs) to card reader technology. AAMs’ and Security Services’ rights and responsibilities regarding card readers will be reviewed. AAMs will learn to use LENEL OnGuard’s Area Access Manager Application to add and remove access rights to McGill cardholders.

LENEL ID Carding Workshop

Target Audience: McGill staff who are responsible for assigning access rights to card readers.
Prerequisites: Windows and authority to generate McGill ID cards.
Duration: 1 hour
Dates offered: Presented only upon request from the "carding" departments' representatives. If your department would like a training session for a group (minimum of 5), please submit the IT Services system training registration (Special request) form. 

Course format: Workshop

This workshop covers the functions that need to be performed to produce McGill ID cards — for both students and staff. Among the features that will be covered in this workshop are: verifying the person's McGill status and generating the McGill ID card.
