Course or program links from the Course Catalogue in the WMS

OVERVIEW

Target audience: Site Administrators, Site Managers, Site Editors

The Course Catalogue content syndication allows Web Management Systems (WMS) pages to link to course, program, or general information from the Course Catalogue through the use of short tags. (Short tags are bits of code that link to a specific program or course description in the catalogue.)

Content syndication is useful to avoid content duplication and additional work. Once a short tag is added to a page, it will NOT change from year to year (unlike URLs). Content associated with the short tag is updated automatically to reflect updates to the official version in the Course Catalogue.

This functionality is strongly recommended for conveying course or program information on McGill websites.
