Service overview

The Course Equivalency System allows users to easily search and review course equivalency decisions made for courses offered at McGill and partner institutions.

Department and faculty staff also use the system to assess and maintain course equivalency decisions, manage reviewers, and manage system configurations.

The entire McGill community, prospective students, parents, advisors.


How to request & access the service

Access the Course Equivalency System.

Prospective students, parents, and advisors can search for course equivalencies that currently exist in the system. Additional features of the system are restricted to members of the McGill community with a valid McGill Username and McGill Password, as detailed below.

McGill faculty, staff, and students can log in to the system with their McGill username and McGill password.

There is no cost to use associated with this service.


Availability

The service is available 24 X 7, except during planned maintenance or outages. Check the home page of the IT Support site for announcements regarding interruptions.

Best practices & policies

If you qualify for transfer credit, use McGill's Course Equivalency System or Degree Evaluation Tool to see if it will earn you exemptions for required, complementary or elective courses.

Faculty and Staff only: contact your Faculty administrators for questions regarding the course equivalency process, the database, and/or Minerva Transfer Credit Assessment Form.
