Target audience: Entire McGill community.

The Copyright Act of Canada governs the making and distribution of photocopies, scans or other reproductions of copyrighted material, such as literary, musical and artistic works. Certain copying and distribution of those works may be an infringement of copyright.

Responsibility of the McGill community

Members of the university community may reproduce a document protected by copyright in cases permitted by one of the following:

It is the responsibility of each person using a uPrint machine to comply with applicable law and policy. The Copyright Act provides for civil and criminal remedies for copyright infringement.
