
Service overview
myProgress allows undergraduate students (in select faculties--see below), graduate students, advisors, and supervisors to track and monitor progress toward degree completion. It provides an overview of individual student and program requirements integrated with the student’s academic record.
The myProgress system allows you to do the following:
Graduate students:
- See course and program requirements for your McGill degree
- View due dates associated with academic milestones
- Monitor your progress toward your degree
- Receive reminders of upcoming or missed academic milestones in thesis graduate programs
Undergraduate students:
- See course and program requirements for your McGill degree
- Monitor your progress toward your degree
Graduate supervisors:
- Monitor your supervisees’ progress toward degree completion
- Receive reminders of your supervisees’ upcoming or missed academic milestones
Undergraduate advisors, coordinators, and directors:
- View students’ degree audit worksheets
- Record and track student exceptions (e.g., exemptions and substitutions). Note: This feature is only accessible to advisors with update access.
Graduate program administrators and coordinators:
- View students' degree audit worksheet
- Record and track student exceptions (e.g., exemptions and substitutions)
- Access additional tools, including:
- Program Milestones: See a list of default milestones for your graduate programs
- Student Milestones: Update individual student milestones (i.e., Progress Tracking meeting completion)
- Graduate Supervisor Assignment: Record graduate supervisor(s) and co-supervisor assignments
- Graduate Committee Management: Record supervisory committee members
- Graduate Milestone Reports: Access up-to-date reports for managing your graduate student and program records

From Minerva, use the SR Admin menu to access the myProgress hub.

Cost
There is no cost associated with this service.

Availability
The service is available 24 X 7, except during planned maintenance or outages. Check the home page of the IT Support site for announcements regarding service interruptions.

Why can’t I upload my document?
Although students with staff credentials can log into myProgress as staff, the Upload feature is only available when logged in with student credentials. If you cannot upload a document, log out and log back in using your student email address. Refer to the best practices section for more detailed instructions.

Best practices & policies
- Students who have also been hired as staff MUST use their student email (@mail.mcgill.ca) to log into myProgress. Students logging in with their @mcgill.ca email can access the site but cannot upload documents. See instructions for students with staff credentials.
- For best navigation, set your computer's language to English. Errors may occur when trying to log in from a non-English computer.
