This article explains how to make copies of a document using the Xerox Altalink C8135, C8155 or C8170 device.

Copying documents
To copy a document using the Xerox C8135 or C8155 follow the steps outlined below:
- Load documents face-up in document feeder or face-down in the top right-hand corner on the plate glass.
- Press Copy on the touch screen.

- Choose any Copying Options you might want (see Advanced options below).
- Enter the number of copies on the keypad and press Start.


Advanced Copying Options
You will be presented with a number of options to choose from. Scroll the screen to view more options.

Output color
- Auto Detect (Default setting): lets the device determine the color content of your document.
- Color: will copy all pages in color.
- Black & White: will copy in B&W even if your document is color. Great for saving money.
2-Sided Copying
Depending on the format of your original documents and your required output, you can select:
- 1-1 Sided Copy: 1 sided pages to 1 sided paper (Default).
- 1-2 Sided Copy: 1 sided pages to double-sided paper.
- 2-2 Sided Copy: 2 sided pages to double-sided paper.
- 2-1 Sided Copy: 2 sided pages to 1 sided paper.
Paper supply / Select paper size
- Auto Paper Select lets the device choose the paper tray for your copy job.
- You can also tap the Paper Supply option to see more size choices.
- Or pick which tray to use as a source.
Reduce / Enlarge document size
If your text is cut off, use this setting to shrink your document to fit on a page.
- 100% produces copies that match the size of your original document.
- More… displays a list of commonly used Reduce/Enlarge settings.
Finishing
Tap Finishing to see collated options such as staple, hole punch, booklet creation.
