Service overview

Microsoft Project for the web is a cloud-based app (part of the Microsoft 365 suite of tools) that allows project managers and team members to create, manage, and share project plans and tasks lists.

Project for the web is part of the Microsoft Project product family; it is essentially a redesign of Microsoft Project Online, with an easier learning curve and built on the Microsoft Power Platform, which means it can integrate with Power BI and Power Automate. At present, it includes a lighter set of features; however, future development will bring functionality on par with Project Online.
