Service overview
The Office of International Student Services (ISS) provides and manages this cloud-based service. Features include:
- myISS request form: Streamlines student inquiries so ISS can prioritize, escalate, and triage student requests for information, while attaching these requests to the student record and providing statistics on ISS usage.
- myISS student portal: Once the ISS confirms the need for an appointment, students can book in-person or online appointments and securely upload requested documentation pertaining to their inquiry.
- ISS student record: Provides the ISS with a comprehensive student record containing a history of student appointments and inquiries, as well as a secure repository for student information and supporting documentation.
- Advising appointments: Allows ISS staff to schedule in-person or online appointments for students with immigration advisors. Users can view advisors’ schedules, track attendance, make appointment notes, and send reminders.
Who can use it
- Eligible McGill active international students paying student services fees can use the myISS portal. Some exceptions may apply.
- Anyone can use the myISS request form, including students, perspective students, parents of students, staff and others.
- ISS staff use the management interface.
How to request & access the service
Authorized ISS team members receive access as part of their onboarding.
Anyone can access the myISS request form.
Students can use the myISS student portal only after ISS has created a student record. Students can request a record by submitting a myISS request form.
Cost
There is no cost associated with this service.
Availability
This service is available 24 X 7. In the event of an unscheduled downtime, please check for announcements on the IT Support site.
