ArcGIS Pro is a full-featured professional desktop Geographic Information System (GIS) application from Esri. With ArcGIS Pro, you can:


Who can use it

McGill faculty, staff, students, and McGill-affiliated researchers can download ArcGIS Pro for Windows (at the Software Download site) and use it with a user license.


How to access the service

Note: McGill affiliates must first ask their McGill sponsor to create an affiliate account. See Affiliate Accounts.

To download and install ArcGIS Pro for Windows:

  1. Go to the Software Download site to download the software
  2. Request your named-user license at gicsupport@mcgill.ca using your McGill email address.
  3. Install and license the software. See How-To: Install ArcGIS Pro (ArcGIS Desktop Pro 3.x.x)


NoteThere is no public access to the platform.

There is no cost for this service.
