The McGill Mentorship Network allows students to connect with their peers as part of McGill’s various peer mentorship programs or groups to foster individual relationships and strengthen the wider McGill community. Students can set and track their mentorship goals, interact with peer mentors and/or mentees, and access mentorship resources. Students can also join groups of students sharing the same interests on the Mentorship network platform.
The McGill Mentorship Network is available to students and alumni participating in eligible peer mentorship programs or groups.
All students can join the McGill Mentorship Network. Alumni may also be eligible to join certain programs. Each program or group have their own eligibility rules. There is no cost associated with the McGill Mentorship Network service for programs and groups targeting current students.
This service is available 24 X 7, except during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Check the IT Services home page for announcements regarding service interruptions.

How can I find a mentor?
The McGill Mentorship Network’s catalogue of mentorship programs and groups is growing following the launch of the platform in 2024. If you are an active McGill student, you will be able to browse our various programs or groups and find the one that meets your goals and objectives. If you have any specific questions, do not hesitate to contact one of the program administrators for more information.
How can I change my name or e-mail?
For the integrity of the platform, you must use the name which you use at the University. If the name on your profile is incorrect, we invite you to adjust your name on Minerva by following the instructions found here.
I’m both a student and an alumnus at McGill; how should I join the Mentorship Network?
The McGill Mentorship Network primarily focuses on providing mentorship opportunities for current McGill students. If you are looking for opportunities to be mentored, you need to sign up as a student. . If you are looking to mentor a student and have been invited by a program administrator to do so, you can join as a mentor.

We will be sharing best practices and updated policies in the near future. Programs interested in joining the platform should know that a standardized mentor training module has been developed and is now available on myCourses.
A community of practice is planned for launch in 2025-2026 to facilitate sharing best practices and foster collaboration among program administrators.
Campus Life & Engagement will offer relevant training and documentation to interested program administrators, including access to "How-to" guides, video demonstrations, and a calendar for instructor-led training sessions.
