This article describes advanced administrative options in the WMS. Site administrators can set the site's Front Page (homepage), as well as set the site title, and site slogan.
This article also describes elements of the site header on sites that belong to the McGill Web Management System (WMS). The standard WMS header helps ensure a consistent experience for visitors, regardless of which site they find themselves on.

Only a Site Administrator can change the site's front page.
The Site Sponsor or Site Administrator specifies the site name (along with the site URL) when the site is first created.
The site name appears in the WMS header. If you click on it, it will take you back to the home page.
The site name must always appear in the header, except in exceptional cases.
Only a Site Administrator can change the site name. To change the site name:
A slogan is an optional short phrase in a smaller font that should not exceed two lines. Short, single-line slogans are best.
A slogan usually appears immediately beneath the site name but can be displayed above it instead. It may be used to identify a site as belonging to a group or association and may contain links if needed.
The logo as it appears on the WMS header (comprised of a shield and wordmark) is called the signature (see McGill Visual Identity Guide).
The logo must always appear on the header, except in exceptional cases when McGill has partnered with outside organizations (sites with reduced branding approved on a case by case basis, and sites with secondary branding as part of a legal agreement between the University and another party).
When clicked, the search bar expands to accommodate longer or multiple search terms. The user is then brought to a search results page that can display matches from all WMS-wide pages. Language toggle.
(It appears as a Fr on English web pages and En on French web pages) will be present in the header if a translation of a page exists. If you have an English homepage but unpublish or remove the default "Accueil" page, the language toggle Fr will not be visible on your homepage.
