WMS: Embed a video

Target audience: Site Administrators, Site Managers, Site editors

Videos from YouTube or Vimeo can be embedded directly on your Web Management System (WMS) page. It is embedded within a player that allows users to control the playback.

NOTE: this article refers to a process to be used on sites that have already migrated to the New WMS.

Embed a video from YouTube or Vimeo

  1. In a browser window, open the YouTube or Vimeo video you want to embed and copy its URL.
  2. Navigate to the WMS page where you want to embed the video and click New Draft or Edit Draft.
  3. Position your cursor within the WYSIWYG editor and click the Insert Media button as you would to add an image or file.
  4. Click Remote video in the menu paste the URL of the video into the field labeled Add Remote video via URL.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Enter a Name.
  7. Save.
